Student services and support programs

Students have access to a number of excellent support programs and resources at Holland Park.

Guidance Officer

Students are able to make an appointment with the school guidance officer who is located in B block to discuss a range of issues including: career planning, subject selections, friendships and conflict resolution.  The Guidance Officer oversees the Peer Mediation program. 

School Nurse

The nurse is available for student appointments on Mondays and every second Wednesday.  She also is an integral part of the student welfare program and assists classrooms teachers in the delivery of health-related curriculum.  Catherine Raff is the School-based youth health nurse and she is located in C block.


The chaplaincy program at Holland Park State High School is a voluntary service available for all students, staff and parents to provide support and encouragement for every individual.  It is funded through the NSCSWP program overseen by DEEWR. Working alongside other caring professionals in the school, the chaplain cares for supports young people's spiritual, physical and emotional needs through pastoral care and community outreach.  Brad Hartland is the chaplain and he works on Wednesdays and Thursdays and is located in B block.  Brad can provide information for students regarding Scripture Union holiday camps. 

Youth Support Coordinator

The YSC assists students and families in a pastoral care role. Rishi Jagunundan can provide assistance to at-risk students to re-engage with their schooling, transition to further education, training or employment and reach their full potential.  Rishi is available on Mondays and Tuesdays and is located in B block.
